On a positive note we became grandparents for the first time in April with the arrival of Finley Kempster Blyth. Helen and James are hard at work being new parents as well as James moving to a new job with the Ordnance Survey in Southampton.
Rob has passed his driving test and takes delivery of his car today or in the next few days. We are so glad he is now independent no longer having to rely on friends for lifts all the time and I will not miss the journey to Preston and back!
I am still busy with magic having been appointed a Regional Representative and Examiner (Theory) for The Magic Circle and continuing as Chairman of The Modern Mystic League (Blackburn & District Society of Magicians) - see my web site www.rogerwoodsmagic.co.uk for more information. I am enjoying giving lots of talks to various groups.
Joan continues as Brown Owl and is always busy planning or making things for the Brownies to do. Our friends Dale and Jackie have helped us so much in the garden although the weather has been too wet lately - I am still waiting to do the lawns!
There is so much more I could write but that will do for the time being.
Roger
